Emergency Situation
A person has collapsed and is unresponsive. You've called 911 and retrieved an AED. Now you need to prepare the person and use the AED correctly.
Before using an AED:
- Remove clothing, cut if necessary
- Wipe off water/sweat
- Shave heavy chest hair if pads won't stick
- Remove nitro patches, avoid piercings/implants
- Move to firm surface if possible
